Responsibilities

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support

Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health stability

Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and maintaining accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems

Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for all residents

Support residents during outings or appointments by driving or coordinating transportation as needed

Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to safety protocols such as proper use of Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices

Collaborate closely with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident’s needs
Skills
-
Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments

Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and behavior management techniques

Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining dignity and respect for residents’ independence

Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and medication administration procedures

Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate record keeping and documentation

Excellent communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members

Valid driver’s license for transportation duties; experience driving in various conditions preferred

Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting using Hoyer lifts or assisting with mobility aids safely

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is highly valued

Dietary Aide
Location: Park Hills West

Description:
Golden Millennium Enterprises is currently seeking a full time Cook. The hours are Monday through Sunday (Varies) and every other weekend, and some Holidays required, may vary based on business need. CBRF Certified individuals are preferred but not required.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Participates in menu planning and recipe development.
- Assists in purchasing dietary food items according to cycle menu and dietary supplies.
- Directs the storage of incoming food and supplies.
- Reviews and plans menus to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared. Determines quantity of meats and other foods to defrost.
- Prepares meals according to planed menus and standardized recipes in a sanitary manner to ensure the utmost quality with minimum waste.
-Reviews menus to identify all foods required for therapeutic diets before preparing foods. Use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required.
-Prepares foods in advance of cooking day as needed.
-Makes substitutions to accommodate residents likes and dislikes. Record menu changes.
-Operates a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment, such as blenders, mixers, grinders and slicers. Bakes, roasts, broils, grills and steams food items to prepare for consumption.
-Wash, peel, cut and shred vegetables and fruits to prepare for use.
-Tests and observes food by smelling and tasting for palatability. Seasons food for acceptable flavor and texture. Adds gravies, sauces, and garnishes as required.
- Plans cooking schedules to meet designated meal schedules.
- Serves meals according to portion control. Slices portions of meat for individual servings. Monitors portion control and food waste.
-Check plates for accuracy before meal is served.
-Serves meals in dining room in a timely manner utilizing sanitary serving techniques and good service style. Monitor meal service.
-Stores food in designated areas, utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements, food spoilage, and food sanitation. Covers, labels and dates all foods correctly.
-Utilizes supplies and equipment properly and without waste.
-Reports any damaged or unsafe equipment or food items to their Supervisor.
-Maintains dining services according to established rules and regulations, and according to the Health Department and State and Federal Codes.
-Maintains high standards for department safety.
-Maintain proper inventory levels to meet menu and department needs.
-Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the job.
-Share ideas with the Director for improving department to meet the resident's needs.
-Assists in coordinating special dinners and functions as requested.
-Works extra hours as needed and approved to meet department needs.
-Attends in-services, seminars, meetings and classes to keep current on new information.
-Performs any and all work assignments that immediate supervisor and Facility Director designates.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, have a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
Candidates also preferred to be CBRF Certified.
Knowledge and experience in basic concepts of nutrition for regular and modified diets.
Ability to adapt recipes to achieve needed yields and consistencies.
Ability to prepare large quantities of food, maximizing flavor, nutritional components and quality Ability to meet established standards and time schedules for meal service.
Be able to Lift up to 50lbs; maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 35 lbs. Standing, crouching, walking, smelling, tasting, reaching and handling. Talking, hearing, depth perception and accommodation of visual focus.
Work in variable temperature changes with exposure to heat, cold, and wet conditions. Daily hazards that include irritating chemicals and soaps, hot equipment, slippery floors, sharp objects and extreme temperature of water.
Have excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work variable hours including alternating weekends and holidays.
Interacts in a tactful, diplomatic and kind manner with residents, families, visitors and co-workers to provide a safe, efficient and therapeutically effective caring environment which ensures the self-respect, personal dignity, rights and physical safety of each resident and guest.
Maintain a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene and dress code.
